Jacob Yates Stanford Jacob Yates Stanford, born January 10, 1979 in Austin, died in a motorcycle accident on August 21, 2012. Jacob is survived by his parents and friends Susan Yates McLaughlin and Robert Paul McLaughlin of Pflugerville, TX; James Mitchell Stanford and Selena Stanford of Cedar Park, TX; his sister Kristal Stanford Walker and her husband Willie of Texico, NM; his brother Temple Jay McLaughlin of Pflugerville; the Love of his Life Leelannee Wagner and her daughters Kylie and Kelsey of Austin; his grandfather Walter Yates and wife Tracy of Cedar Park; grandmother Edith Walker Williams of Fredericksburg, TX; aunts Susan Ann Stanford of Austin and Sharolyn Yates of Houston, TX; uncles John Bradford Stanford of Texas and Jay Walter Yates of Oregon; also numerous cousins and countless friends. He is preceded in death by grandparents Norma Ruth Stanford and Doc "JJ" Stanford. Jake led a diverse path through life and he never gave up. He always tried hard, and was working on creating a life for Leelannee, himself and the girls. He will be remembered for his winning smile and his unconditional love for his parents, family, and friends as well as a devotion to rescuing animals in need of whatever comfort he could provide. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Austin-Peel and Son Funeral Home, 607 E. Anderson Lane in Austin. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Jake's name to Hope Lane Foster and Rescue, which can be contacted at www.facebook.com/HopeLaneFosterAndRescue. The service will be followed by a Celebration of Life in Pflugerville. You'll always be a part of us, Wild Man!
