Edward Curtis Spillers Obituary
Edward Curtis Spillers Edward Curtis Spillers, Major, USAF, Retired died December 2, 2012 at the age of 93 in Canon City, Colorado. He was born on July 30, 1919 in Hope, Arkansas to Ernest L. Spillers and Harriet Drury Spillers. He was preceded in death by his wife Wilma Kohl Spillers; son, Edward Curtis Spillers, Jr.; sister Rosa Vogal; brother, Julian Spillers. He is survived by his second wife, Doris Fields Spillers of Canon City, Colorado, two children, Linda S. Dossing of Austin, Texas and Edward C. Spillers II (Karen) of St. Joseph, Minnesota; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one sister, Hazel Frederickson of Magnolia, Arkansas. Major Spillers was a pilot in the Air Force and flew in the Berlin Air Lift and in the Korean War. He retired from the Air Force in 1962 after 22 years of Military Service. A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks, Pflugerville. Graveside services will follow at 3:30pm at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery. Memorial Tributes may be made at
