On March 6th, 1943, she married Ivan Bostick and became the loving, kindest mother to George Bostick and Jan Harrison. In 1959, the entire family moved from Michigan, making Austin their permanent home. Sophie was a member of University Methodist Church, and a loved resident of Parsons House and West Oak Rehabilitation & Health Care Center at Austin. Sophie was known for her wit and wonderful sense of humor and will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Ivan, as well as her mother and two brothers. Left to cherish her memory are son George Bostick (Bobby), and daughter, Jan Harrison (Eddie), and grandchildren Belinda Kirk (Willy), Jessica Bostick, Tracy Balboa (Aaron), Wade Heidmann, and three great grandchildren, Alex Kirk, Sophia Balboa, and Michael Heidmann. The family will receive friends from six o'clock to eight o'clock in the evening on Sunday, January 13th, 2013, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home on 6100 North Lamar Blvd., Austin, Texas.
