RAUL BLANCO GUSMAN Obituary
Raul Blanco Gusman Raul Blanco Gusman, 83, passed away peacefully at home with his stepdaughter Laura and his grandson LeMykal, whom he called a son, on September 6, 2013. He is preceded in death by his wife, Anita, parents, Bernaver and Rosa, brothers, Antonio and Manuel, and his sister, Amalia Kay (Amy). He is survived by his stepchildren, Laura Ann Gonzales, Jimmy Gonzales, Julian Gonzales, and Joel Gonzales; his brothers, Inez Gusman and Alfredo Gusman; and his sister, Maria Teresa Vidalis. He served in the United States Army from 1952-1954 and was a Korean War veteran. "Welo, thank you for everything you've done for LeMykal and me. We will miss you so much, and you will always be in our hearts. You are with mom now, so please say hello for us." (from Laura) Special thanks to the hospice staff, Jessica Loken and Jenny Paresta, and Geri for all the care you have gave my stepfather and for what you did for LeMykal and myself. Family and friends are invited to a visitation to be held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 10, 2013, with a rosary service at 7:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Blvd., Austin. A Funeral Mass will be held at San Jose Catholic Church ten o'clock in the morning on Wednesday, September 11, 2013. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Memorial Hill Cemetery in Pflugerville.
