HORD, Linda Lee Moser

Linda Lee Moser Hord, 67, of Georgetown, TX entered eternal heaven peacefully on Thursday, February 20, 2014.



She was born in Mobridge, SD on September 9, 1946 to the late Fred and Justina Moser. Linda was the youngest of four children and spent her early childhood years in McLaughlin, SD. She was raised in Miles City, MT where she graduated from Custer County High School. After high school, she attended the National School of Business in Rapid City, SD. While in Rapid City, Linda met the love of her life, Wesley Lee Hord, Jr. Realizing they were soul mates, the two were soon married at Trinity Lutheran Church in Miles City, MT on Sunday, July 25, 1965. They were blessed with three children, Rory Lee, Ryan Wesley and Reyanne Michelle. Linda was a very attentive mother and dedicated her life to raising her children. She ensured that they all completed confirmation studies at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Pflugerville, TX and encouraged each to receive college educations. Linda and Wesley lived in several places in Texas including Abilene, Plainview and Midland, but the family eventually planted roots in Pflugerville where they stayed for nearly 30 years. In 2009, they built her dream home and moved to Georgetown, TX to enjoy the scenic lifestyle.



Linda was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers; Elmer and Clarence and sister; Eileen She is survived by her husband of 48 years and their children; Rory Hord and wife Patricia, of Keller, TX; Ryan Hord and wife Colleen, of Cypress, TX; and Reyanne Hord, of Pflugerville, TX. She is also survived by her grandchildren Brynlee Hord and Ryan Hord II as well as many family and friends.



Linda was a devoted wife, an outstanding mother and very proud grandmother. She was blessed in life at the center of a tight, close-knit, loving family and was surrounded by them in her passing. She will be greatly missed and always remembered.



Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 500 Immanuel Road in Pflugerville. She will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.
