Emmett Menefee passed away on March 4, 2014 in Round Rock. He was born on October 10, 1924 in Manor, Texas to Thomas and Annie Menefee.
He was part of the greatest generation and served in the U.S. Army during WWII, receiving the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was also a member of Hill City Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce of 65 years; sons and daughter, Harold Menefee and wife Debbie of Austin, Ken Menefee and wife Melanie of Austin, and Elaine Cox and husband Billy of Round Rock; brother, Thomas David Menefee, Jr. and wife Jackie; sisters, Thera Mason and Vera Newton.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 12:00 noon at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. The funeral service will begin following the visitation at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville.
