Mary Bell Friar Hartcraft - passed from this life on March 18, 2014. Mary was born to William Thomas Friar and Mary Jemima Bessent Friar on September 17th, 1919 in Goldthwaite, TX. Mary was blessed with six sisters and two brothers. Lillie Williams (deceased), Audie Hitchcock (deceased), Maggie 'Bo' Williams (deceased), Miriam Hinds, Lois Powell, Bessie Curren, Willie 'Blue' Friar (deceased) and J.V. Friar (deceased). Mary married Paul Hartcraft Sr. on October 28, 1935 in Anson, TX. He was the love of her life and they were blessed with 66 years of marriage before Paul passed away on June 16, 2002 in Round Rock, TX. Born to this union were 5 children, Paul Hartcraft Jr. (Merlene), Billy Ray Hartcraft (Lynda), Patsy Marie Bowers, Richard Wayne Hartcraft (Sandy), and Freddie Lee Hartcraft (Vicki). She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul, and her sons Paul Jr. and Billy Ray. She is survived by sixteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and twelve great-great grandchildren. She was a head cook for many years and her large family could attest to her wonderful cooking. Mary was a christian her entire live and attended United Pentecostal Churches. She loved Jesus Christ and placed her hope in him. We know she is wearing her crown and dancing on the streets of Glory. We will miss her for the rest of our lives, but look forward to the day we join her and our loved ones in Heaven.

Visitation will be held in Beck Funeral Home, Round Rock, on Friday, March 21, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.. Funeral Services will be at Austin First Church in Del Valle , Texas , on Saturday, March 22, 2014, 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Palm Valley Cemetery.
