KIMMINS, Patricia Eileen "Patt"

Patricia "Patt" Eileen Kimmins, 64, passed away Friday, April 25, 2014 in Abilene. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at the Dyess Base Chapel 158 Avenue B. Dyess Air Force Base Abilene, Texas, 79607, with Father Luis Barrera and Father Jim O'Connor officiating under the direction of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory Street. For information about assistance gaining access to Dyess Chapel call Bertha at 325-675-5543. Burial will follow at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Assumption Cemetery 3650 S I H 35, Austin, Texas, 78704. Visitation will be held 5:00 P.M. to 7:00P.M. with the Rosary to follow on Monday, April 28, 2014 at the funeral home.

Patricia was born in Aberdeen, Maryland on February 15, 1950 to Warden Russel Kimmins U.S. Army Col. (retired) and Rita "O'Connor" Kimmins. She dedicated more than 30 years of her life to servicing the U.S. Military as a Government Civil Servant at Dyess Air Force Base.

Patricia was a member of the Roman Catholic church choir and Celebration Singers. She loved her cockatoo, Fred, as well traveling and spending time on the beach. She was an accomplished seamstress. Patricia also enjoyed cooking and spending time with her Abilene family.

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, James Kimmins.

Survivors include two sons, Robert William Cunningham of Copperas Cove, Texas, and Russel Lee Cunningham of St. Louis, Missouri; two brothers, Gregory Kimmins of Pflugerville, Texas, and John Kimmins of El Paso, Texas; four sisters, Kitty Kimmins of Tucson, Arizona, Anne Presley of Sealy, Texas, Mary Kimmins of Pflugerville, Texas, Christina Leal of Brenham, Texas; three grandchildren, Justin Cunningham, Austin Cunningham, and Chloe Cunningham.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to Hendrick Hospice, 1900 Pine St, Abilene, TX 79601, , 3402 North 1st Street Abilene, TX 79603, or Celebration Singers. The family would like to thank Dr. Moak, Dr. Kalla, the staff of Hendrick Medical Center and Hendrick Hospice Services for their love and care of Patt during her final weeks on earth.
