Lucilla Anita DIAZ-WEAVER Obituary
DIAZ-WEAVER, Lucilla Anita

Lucilla Anita Diaz-Weaver, age 54, passed to eternal life on May 12, 2014 in Austin, TX. Lucy was born on August 17, 1959 in Kingsville, TX to Noe and Aurora Diaz.

Lucy completed her Bachelors of Fine Arts at Texas State University, which enhanced her natural outstanding artistic talents. She was most recently employed by AT&T.

Lucy had a gift for caregiving. She attended to both friends and family through a variety of illnesses. Her kindnesses will never be forgotten.

Her life's purpose became evident when her son, Noe Diaz Weaver was born in December of 1995. She dedicated every moment to him and was selfless - in every sense of the word - to love and provide for him. She was the 'favorite' Mom to many of Noe's friends because she doted and catered to them all.

Lucy is preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, and many aunts and uncles. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Weaver and their son, Noe Diaz Weaver; her parents, Noe and Aurora Diaz; her sisters, Suzana Diaz and Elma Benavides and her family, husband Miguel Benavides and their children, Casey Benavides, Armon Ferrari, Greyson Ferrari, Julian Benavides, and Wilson Benavides; former brother-in-law and friend, Mark Ferrari; and countless other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Harrell Funeral Home, 4435 Frontier Trail, Austin, TX. Recital of the Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 19, 2014 at St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church.

All of Lucy's family would like to thank the EMS paramedics, St. David's South Emergency Room and ICU doctors, nurses, and staff for not only their valiant efforts, but their compassionate care.
