Anna THOMTE Obituary

Anna 'Annie' Lou Thomte was born in Wayne, Oklahoma February 25, 1928 and passed away peacefully May 8th, 2014 at the age of 86. She attended school in Oklahoma and received a Basketball Scholarship to Oklahoma State University (OSU). She then transferred to Oklahoma University where she tutored Darrell Royal and others, graduating with a BBA from Oklahoma University (OU). She was a lifelong fan of Oklahoma (OU) football and San Antonio Spurs basketball.

Annie was a wonderful wife, loving mother and adoring grandmother. She was loved by her family and many friends she met along the way. She was an adventurist and a 'snowbird' that traveled with her loving husband of 63 years, Pete, in their RV across this great nation.

One of her greatest joy was spending time with all her grandchildren, always greeting them with her loving arms and her beautiful smile. She shared her life adventures with her grandchildren and 'On the Road' with them to many wonderful and exciting places. She loved listening to Dixieland music, Willie Nelson songs and Credence Clearwater Revival also known as CCR!

She is survived by two sisters, Mary Lee Russell and Pat Frankenberg, her daughter and best friend, Jana Ibarra and Son-In-Law, John Ibarra and their three children, James, Hannah and Samuel, foster daughter Flo Schilb and her daughter Jana Schilb, Daughter-In-Law, Julie Thomte and her children Christopher Hargrove, Kyle Thomte, Chad Thomte. So many friends became her family too that she loved and cherished.

Please join our family and friends for her memorial service on Saturday May 24th at 11:30 am at Triumphant Love Lutheran Church, 9508 Great Hills Trail, Austin TX 78759 512.346.5683
