Pamela Scheer COPLIN Obituary
COPLIN, Pamela Scheer

Funeral services for Pamela Scheer Coplin, 60, of Leander will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday May 24, 2014 at Sycamore Church, in Burkeville, Texas.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday May 21, 2014 at Beck Funeral Home.

Pam was a long time Austin and Lake Travis resident and the beloved wife of Marlon Coplin.

She fought a courageous battle with cancer over the past 3-years, and beginning this past Tuesday she suffered a series of respiratory and cardiac events from which, ultimately, she did not recover; she passed away on Friday evening, May 16th.

Pam's passion was scuba diving, underwater photography, and boating on Lake Travis. In addition, she really enjoyed spending time with her most special golden retriever, Beau. She was a retired Mortgage Broker. Her and Marlon's home on Lake Travis was always open to family and their many local friends to come over and go swimming, go boating and to share fun times.

She was a native of the Boston area, and while she loved to share all the wonderful things about New England, she would soon be introduced to Barbeque, Gumbo, Crawfish, and Tex-Mex foods; she quickly began to understand Texan.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Scheer Lewis. She is survived by her husband Marlon Coplin of Leander, TX, her brother Chris Lewis of Basalt, Co., her brother David Lewis and her mother Jahyne Alexander both of Osprey, Florida. She is also survived by her stepmother, Barbara Johnson Lewis, and stepbrother, Chris Hough, both of Utah. In addition, she is survived by many sister and brother in laws and by her many special nieces and nephews who all thought of her as their "Way Cool, Aunt Pam". Memorials may be made in Pam's name to Mexico Beach Artificial Reef Association Inc. www.mbara.org/ Condolences may be offered to Pam's family via the online guest book at www.beckchapels.com
