WILSON, Floyd Andrew

Floyd Andrew Wilson was born October 6, 1937 to parents Andrew and Rosie White. Floyd went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday May 28, 2014. He married Mary Edna Valois Ramsey and raised 4 children, Joe Francis Wills of Liberty Hill, Thomas Wilson of Austin, Theresa Ann Wilson deceased and Andrew Wilson of Austin.

Floyd joined the Army in 1960 and later joined the reserves. After 6 years he left the Army with the rank of Sargent. Floyd will be best remembered as someone who liked to fix things, loved to talk on his many radios in his radio room at home, and was a very independent individual. His long struggle with cancer took all he had but he faced it his way until the end. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one daughter. He is survived by his step mother Annie Bea Rutledge of Austin, two brothers Clyde Wilson , Roy Wilson and one sister Betty, two sons, one step son and many grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Services for Floyd will be held Monday Jun 2 at 2:00 pm at Gateway Baptist Church located at 7601 Guadalupe St in Austin with burial to follow at Cook-Walden Capital Parks in Pflugerville with military honors.
