Our beloved Joe Loredo affectionately called "Curley" was lifted by the Angels into Heaven on May 30, 2014 after a valiant battle with cancer. Joe was born in Austin, Texas on June 16, 1947 to Eleuterio and Paula Loredo.
Joe knew no stranger. He carried the challenges that God sent him with dignity always maintaining a positive attitude until the end. During his 18 months of illness he never complained. When asked how are you doing? His response would be "pretty good". He never missed a family gathering throughout his months of illness. He was at his niece's 15th Birthday celebration the Saturday before his death.
Joe graduated from Johnston High School and St. Edwards University where he met the love of his life Terri Alvarado who he married on November 22, 1975. To that union were born two children Vanessa and Joe Jr., Joe was a true family man and he considered one of his many blessings his children and grandchildren, Maximus Esteban, Fiona Feliz including his son-in-law Christopher Drew.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents Eleuterio and Paula; Sister Natalia Beltran and Husband Ramon; Brother Henry Loredo. Surviving family include Wife Terri, Children Vanessa Drew (Husband Christopher) and Joe Jr. Grandchildren Maxius Esteban, Fiona Feliz. Brothers: Ignacio, Sonny, Michael; Sisters: Mary Loredo, Annie DeLuna. Sister-in-laws, Alejandra Martinez, Angelita Garcia, Josefa Ledesma, Alicia Trevino. Brother-in-laws: Roberto and Julian Alvarado and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews who all loved Uncle Joe.
Friends are cordially invited to a Visitation Wednesday, June 4, 2014 from 6:00 P.M to 8:00 P.M. with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 P.M.
A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, June 5, 2014, 10:00 AM at Sta. Julia Catholic Church with Internment to follow in Assumption Cemetery.
