WEIDE, Irene Elaine

Irene Elaine Weide, age 76, of Georgetown, Texas passed away on July 29, 2014, surrounded by her loving family.

Irene was born to Egnar and Violet Anderson on December 22, 1937 in Kenedy, Texas. She married Jerald Weide on August 25, 1962 in Austin, Texas and they were looking forward to celebrating their 52nd anniversary in August.

Upon graduation from high school Irene went on to attend business school in Austin, Texas. She later worked as an Examiner for the Internal Revenue Service, retiring in 1997. Irene passed away after a 12-month courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She will be remembered as one who loved the outdoors, traveling and her most favorite joy spending time with family. She had accepted Jesus Christ as her savior and led a Christian life.

Survivors include her husband, Jerald Weide; daughters: Kimberly Garrett and husband Steven, Sandra Jones and husband David, Jr.; son: Brian Weide; grandsons: Cody Garrett, Hunter Jones, and Trevor Jones ; sisters: Janice Goodwin, Darlene Johnson and husband Marc; and brother Calvin Anderson.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Egnar and Violet Anderson and brother, Lawrence Anderson.

A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 31st at Ramsey Funeral Home in Georgetown. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 1st in the Chapel of Ramsey Funeral Home with Larry Maddox officiating. Burial will follow at Austin Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the cancer research organization of your choice.
