DAVILA, Refugio O.|
Refugio "Cuco" O. Davila was born on July 4, 1926, to parents Jose and Isabel Davila in Austin, Texas. After a lengthy illness he passed away on August 12, 2014 into the arms of our Heavenly Father, surrounded by his loving family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John, Cruz and Joe Davila; sister Ambrosia Ledesma and daughter-in-law Susan Salas Davila.
Mr. Davila is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Lorene Davila; son Rufus (Cindy) from San Antonio, TX; daughter Glenda Davila of Harlingen, TX; 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Refugio was loved by so many and was always willing to help other before thinking of himself. He was a very caring and generous person, a true servant to others. Prior to his illness he was very involved at San Jose Catholic Church where he was a Acolyte and Eucharistic Minister for many years. Many thanks to family and friends for their many prayers and support.

Recitation of Holy Rosary 6:00 p.m., Sunday August 17, 2014, at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel 6204 South First Street (South). Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m., Monday August 18, 2014, at San Jose Church 2435 Oak Crest. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery 3650 South IH-35.
