PASCHALL, Bobbie Ruth|
Bobbie Ruth Paschall, 83 yr. old, went straight to Heaven, after dying peacefully, surrounded by family, Friday, August 15, 2014, at St. David's Hospital in Austin. She was born on December 13, 1930, in Center, Texas to A.J. and Charlsie Oliver, both preceding her in death.
Bobbie grew up in Center, where she graduated from high school before moving to Houston. She was happily married to Thomas Edward Crosser before he died in 1953 in a fatal car accident. They had one daughter, Toni Lynne Crosser. Bobbie remarried in 1954 to J. W. Paschall and moved to Austin. Together they had four children, Terry, Tami, Tim, and Tracye. He died in 1984, after a long battle with cancer. Bobbie lived in Austin, except for a few years in Alaska, Lewisville, Texas, and Round Rock, which was her home for the past three years. For many years, she was employed in food and hospitality, working for the Night Hawk Steakhouse and Lakeway Resort Development. She was a caregiver during her last years of employment.
Bobbie is survived by her step-son, Julius Ward Paschall, Jr. of Kingsland; her daughter, Toni Hamilton, and husband Phil, of Fairview; her daughter, Tami Paschall of Westlake; her son, Tim Paschall, and wife Julie, of Anchorage, Alaska; daughter-in-law, Cheemay Ohsawa of Austin, and son-in-law, Kenneth Blackstone of Georgetown; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, extended family, and a large circle of friends.
Also preceding her in death were her sister, Pat Wade; daughter, Tracye Paschall; son, Terry Paschall; and step-daughter, Gloria Blackstone.
For the past three years, Bobbie lived at Trinity Place Apts. For Seniors, and she would tell you these years were some of her happiest. It felt like home. She quickly made friends, and she spent her time cooking, working in her flower bed, reading, embroidering, going to potlucks, or helping with the November Bazaar. She was very active! She will be remembered by the Crosser family as "Sweetie Pie"; she will be remembered by her children as a loving and devoted Mother who was the backbone of the family. Her friends will remember her East Texas accent and would say she was always cheerful, extremely independent, and forever thinking of others. She was very much loved and will be truly missed.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, August 23, at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville with Pastor Elroy Haverlah officiating. Lunch will be served at noon in the community room at Trinity Place Apts., 1203 Cushing Dr. in Round Rock. A private graveside ceremony for the family will follow.
Her family would like to thank the doctors and staff at St. David's Hospital for taking such good care of her during her last days. Thank you to Sherry and Kim at Trinity Place Apts. for being such a big part of our mother's life; and last, but not least, thank you to her friends and neighbors, who kept the spice in her life.
