Arthur "Art" J. Rinn, Jr. Arthur "Art" J. Rinn, Jr., 79, passed away peacefully in his Austin home on November 24th after losing a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Cameron, Texas on October 8, 1931 and raised in Sharp, Texas; he served in the US Air Force during the Korean War era. Art, as he was known to his friends and family, married Edna Croslin Rinn in 1953 and raised three children during their 39 years of marriage, ending when Edna died of cancer in 1992. He was employed by the University of Texas as Production Superintendent of the student newspaper The Daily Texan. Art married Dolores Ebert in 1993, and after he retired from UT, they enjoyed retirement, travel, and spending time with friends and family. Also an avid bowler, he served as both Director and Vice President of the Austin Bowling Association for several years. Art is survived by Dolores along with his three children: Sandy Rinn Bridwell and husband Clayton, Connie Rinn Paschal and husband Gary, and James Arthur Rinn and wife Kristen, and grandchildren: Sarah Paschal, Josh Rinn, Caroline Rinn, and Grace Rinn. Additionally, he is survived by step-children Victor and Martha Moore, Alan and LeAnn Moore, and Paul and Karen Moore along with numerous step-grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by step-daughter Marjorie Frossard. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 27th at 2:00 pm at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, Lamar location, with burial at Austin Memorial Park. Memorial guestbook online at www.wcfish.com
