Obituary Condolences

Raymond V. Johnson A husband, a father, a grandfather, a friend, Raymond "Ray" V. Johnson passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2010 after a short battle with cancer. Ray is survived by his wife of 28 years, Judy Johnson; sons, Scott Johnson of West Palm Beach, Florida, Jay Johnson of Okeechobee, Florida; and his daughters, Barbara Johnson Kirkpatrick of Jupiter, Florida and Beth DePuy of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. In addition, his sister Linda Brewer of Morehead, Kentucky and his grandson Eric Johnson of Jupiter, Florida. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Jessica Johnson. Also survived by many supportive friends with an abundance of care, love and prayers. Ray was born March 15, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois, but grew up in Davenport, Iowa. He was a retired Semi-Conductor Engineer. He spent many hours of his retirement working on his 1964 Pontiac GTO. He displayed many first place trophies reflecting the love and devotion to his classic car. Ray will also be remembered for his love of the Miami Dolphins. He spent many Sundays cheering on his team sitting next to a bowl of chips and salsa. Ray will also be remembered for his quick wit and his love of Mountain Dew and black licorice. We will meet up some day in a far greater place than we can ever imagine. Ray, you will be so missed. Services will be held on Dec 4th at 11:00 a.m. in the library of the Wildflower Center. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to the or Heart to Heart Hospice in Austin.
