Carol Ann Isenhour

Obituary Condolences

Carol Ann Isenhour Carol Isenhour, age 52, went to be with the Lord on February 17, 2011. She was born on August 17, 1958 to Ray and Tommie Brown who preceded her in death. Carol was born and grew up in Iowa Park, Texas and moved to Ringgold, LA with her family at the age of 14. Carol graduated from High School in 1977 where she played in the marching band. Carol was married three times and moved to Austin, Texas in 1990 where she met and married her beloved husband of 19 years; Walter R. "Walt" Isenhour JR. Carol was a devoted wife and dedicated her life to her family. She believed in strong family values and was a born again Christian following the ways of the lord. Carol enjoyed spending time with her husband whether hunting in the mountains, fishing at the coast, pursuing new adventures, riding horses or just good times at home. She dearly loved all her friends who supported her during her times of need. The ultimate cowgirl, Carol dearly loved her horses. Most dear to her was the paint gelding Augustus "Gus" that she raised from a colt. She spent hundreds of hours riding Gus around the ranch, on trail rides and rodeo events. Carol taught and hosted riding clinics and trail rides with her friends. Carol was a very compassionate lady who always tried to do right by everyone she encountered. She loved nature and enjoyed feeding her wild birds and squirrels. She maintained the family home and ranch in McDade, TX for 16 years until her depression took her life in grief from being separated from her beloved husband. She was able to spend her last weekend very close to Walt, whom she deeply loved and cherished all their time together. Carol leaves behind her husband Walter R Isenhour JR and his children; Jennifer Isenhour, Ryan Isenhour, William Isenhour and Amy Isenhour; cousins; Christine Magee, Guy Robinson, Tina Robinson Grochet, Sonny Robinson, Bruce Brown, Ed Williams and her very special friends Karen Kirby and Tish Maudsley. The Celebration of Carol's life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at the Cowboy Church of Lee County, Lee County Posse Arena in Giddings TX. Flowers may be sent to Harrell Funeral Home at 4435 Frontier Trail, Austin, TX. Carol will be dearly missed by her husband, friends and relatives.
