Obituary Condolences

Charles "Dr Don" Sartor Charles "Dr Don" Sartor passed away on March 23, 2012 in his home surrounded by his loving family after a year long battle with a number of serious medical issues steming from a hemorhagic stroke. Dr Don, as he was known to his patients, practiced pediatrics in Round Rock, Leander and Liberty Hill for 20 years and for many of those years he was one of very few physicians who accepted CHIPS and Medicaid patients. Dr Sartor was born in Temple, Texas on June 8, 1943 and attended Round Round High School, and graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in Zoology. He continued his education by completing medical school in Guadalajara, Mexico and his pediatric residency at Brackenridge Hospital in Austin, Texas. All of his professional life, he remained commited to providing care to children who had difficuty paying for heath care services. After retirement, he enjoyed making candles, reading, fly fishing and paying guitar with his many friends. He enjoyed life and took advantage of every opportuity to make others happy too. Dr Sartor is predeceased by his father, Charles and two brothers, Dan and Dennis. He is survived by his mother, Lillie Mae Sartor, his sister Suann Jones and her husband Ed and two daughters Audrey and Dawn. He is also survived by his wife Susan Hill who will miss him terribly, two step sons, Brad Crouch and Wayne Zingery who loved him dearly and his very special care-giver, advocate and friend Jana Carpenter. A celebration orf his life will be enjoyed on March 31, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. at his home in Liberty Hill, Texas.
