Donna Hutto

Obituary Condolences Gallery

Donna Lynn Hutto Donna Lynn Hutto, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and medical professional, left this earth to meet her Lord on July 19, 2012. Donna blended a Texas-sized heart and delightful sense of humor with boundless compassion and care for others - traits that were evident to all that knew her both personally and professionally. She had the great fortune of being married to her very best friend, Leonard Hutto, for 24 years. Donna worked as the lead administrator for Cedar Park Surgery Center, where she was held in high regard as a "mom" by many and best friend to all. She spent many prior years in the Austin healthcare community, and before that, worked in surgery centers in Florida. She came to Texas to open the Oakwood Surgery Center in Round Rock. She worked as the administrator of the North Austin Surgery Center before joining her "family" at the Cedar Park Surgery Center. Donna got her start in medicine after receiving her nursing degree from Pensacola State, Pensacola, FL. Donna was a long-time resident of Cedar Park. She was born in Ft Walton, FL on Jan 13th 1954. She was 58 years old at the time of her passing, after fighting an incredibly courageous battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Amber Johnston. She is survived by her husband, Leonard Hutto; her children, Ashley Johnston, Raechel Hutto, Gabe Hutto, Josh Hutto and Kristen Thornburgh. Other surviving relatives include her grandchildren, Bailey and Makenzie Johnston, Cohen Thornburgh, Laurel and Griffin Hutto; brothers, Sean Ward and Dennis Cooper; her sister, Denise Whitfield; her great aunt, Wilene Thompson; and special niece, Crystal Zurba. The Donna Hutto Memorial Fund was formed by The Cedar Park Surgery Center through Bank of America. Donations can be received at any Bank of America in the U.S. or mailed to Donna Hutto Memorial Fund, 412 Darkwoods Dr., Cedar Park, TX 78613. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to this fund, which go directly to the family to help offset funeral expenses and medical bills. A visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. Services celebrating Donna's life will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at The Church at Canyon Creek, 9001 North FM 620, Austin, TX. Funeral procession to Cook-Walden/Memorial Hill Cemetery will follow services. To share your memories with Donna's family, please visit www.cookwaldencapitalparks.com.
