Cook Walden - Forest Oaks - Funerals & Cremations

Estella Castillo After a long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer, Estella Castillo was called to her Heavenly home on December 6, 2005. She will forever be remembered by her family and friends as a courageous warrior with an incredible will to live in spite of significant suffering. She was very fond of her Christian family at The PromiseLand Church where she especially loved the praise and worship services. Estella held a special place in her heart for her friends and co-workers at Northwest Hills Pharmacy. Their love, support and prayers were unwavering and a tremendous comfort to Estella and her loved ones throughout her illness. Our only comfort is that this very special Angel is where she's always belonged, in the loving arms of her Lord Jesus Christ. She is survived by her life long friend and devoted caregiver, Vicki Simmons; her brother, Jimmy Castillo of Houston, Tex.; her sister, Mary and husband, Joe Ramirez of Missouri City, Tex.,; her nephews, Eric Leftwich of Colo., John Ramirez Jr. of Houston, Tex., and Fred Castillo, III of Webster, Tex.; her nieces, Monica Ramirez of Houston, Tex., Amy Castillo of Houston, Tex., and Amanda Saldana of Katy, Tex.; her great-nieces, Taylor Castillo, and Hailey Saldana; and great-nephews, Keighton and Taylor Leftwich. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 8, 2005 at The PromiseLand Church, 1504 East 51st Street in Austin, Texas. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
