Narcisa (Nancy) Flores

Obituary Condolences

Narcisa (Nancy) Flores 1933-2012 Surrounded by her family, our beloved Narcisa (Nancy) Flores, age 78, resident of Austin, was called by our Heavenly Father on Monday, August 20, 2012. Nancy will be remembered as a kind, patient, and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who gave her love unconditionally. She found great satisfaction and enjoyment taking care of her family and cooking for countless parties and weddings (no one could cook rice like her). Her love was immense and everything she did came from her heart. Nancy played a major role in the upbringing of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Giving love, care and guidance in her own special way. Nancy was a shining beacon to her family and friends, extinguished too soon. The love, strength, and most importantly, value of family she provided will continue to illuminate. We were all so very blessed to have had her in our lives. Our Lord allowed us to have her a few remaining days so we could express our undying love and say our final good-bye. She is a special angel in heaven looking over each one of us. She was preceded in death by sister Mary Rodriguez, son Edward Flores; brothers Pioquinto Ruiz, Alex Ruiz; parents Elojio and Lydia Ruiz. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years Frank L. Flores; children Reynalda (Alan),Janie (Joe), Liz (Danny), Frank, Johnny (Robin), Lourie; Samuel; grandchildren Angela, Amanda, Christy, Pablo, April, Nancy, Danielle, Laura, Frankie, Duane and Philip; great-grandchildren Dylan, Avery, Noah, Damian, Alyssa, Lindsay, Logan, Gavin, Devin, Lissy, Anthony, Frankie, Viviana, Alexa, Diego and Jasmine; brothers and sisters Pete Ruiz, Janie Castillo, Sara Ojeda, Frank Ruiz. The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Stanley Kim and Jefferson Miley for their efforts, patience and understanding; and the ICU Staff at the St. David's Medical Center, Room 6 for all their support and kindness during this difficult time. Visitation 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel 6204 South First Street. Recitation of rosary 7:00 p.m. Friday at the Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Saturday at Dolores Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
