Obituary Condolences

Susie S. Gonzales Susie S. Gonzales who was affectionately known as "Má" by her loved ones was born in Austin, TX to her parents Mike and Vicenta Salazar on March 6, 1929. She was the third child among six children and though never entered into a contest her flower garden would have been award winning. She was remembered by her strength, loving heart and unwavering faith. On September 28, 2012 God called one of His devoted faithful to heaven. Má is survived by her son's Edward Gonzales Jr. (Estella), David Gonzales (Connie), Larry S. Gonzales; her daughters Christina Gonzales and Linda G. Tristan-Perez (Jesse). Má had 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Ramona Garcia (David) and her brother Simon Salazar (Dolores). She has numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Edward R. Gonzales Sr., her parents Mike Salazar Sr. and Vicenta Ramos and three brothers' Mike, John and Albert Salazar. We would like to thank all of those that have helped our Má, including Riverside Nursing home, Dr. Tuan Nguyen, the doctors and nursing staff of Seton Medical Center and Hospice Care of Austin at the Christopher House. Services will be held on Monday, October 1st and Tuesday, October 2nd, 2012. Monday, the Rosary is at Angel Funeral Home 1606 South 1st St. Austin, TX 78704 (512) 441-9738 at 7:00 P.M. The memorial mass will be on Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. at Sta. Julia Catholic Church 900 Tillery St., Austin, Texas 78702.
