Hans Hamilton Blangger Obituary
Hans Hamilton Blangger Hans Blangger, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013 at the age of 87. He was born & grew up in Donora, Pennsylvania. He joined the Navy at the age of 17 and served during WWII. In 1946, after his naval service, he moved to Texas and married Ina Naumann of Spicewood in 1948. Hans & Ina lived in Austin until 1996 when they moved to Georgetown. They were blessed with three children, who, along with Ina, survive him - Nancy Love & husband, Rodger; Randy Blangger and Mark Blangger. He is also survived by four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis & Margaret Blangger; sister, Lorraine Blangger; and granddaughter, Lisa Pounds. Hans was Past Patron & 50-year member of Travis Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star; Past Master & 50-year member of Colorado Lodge #96; and Past Potentate & 50-year member of Ben Hur Shrine Temple. A visitation was held with the family from six o'clock until eight o'clock in the evening, on Monday, the 28th of January 2013, at Cook-Walden/Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas. The funeral service will be conducted at ten o'clock in the morning on Tuesday, the 29th of January 2013, at Cook-Walden/Davis Funeral Home in the Chapel, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas with Rev. Dub Falsone officiating. Interment will follow in Haynie Flat Cemetery in Spicewood, Texas under the direction of Cook-Walden/Davis Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers and customary remembrances, the family suggests donations be made to Shriners Crippled Childrens Hospital. Condolences may be sent to www.cookwaldendavisfuneralhome.com
