Theresa Miriam Joseph Theresa Miriam Joseph, a lifelong Austinite, passed away at Seton Hospital on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at the age of 85, after suffering a severe heart attack on Tuesday. "Tootsie" as her family called her, was beloved by all who knew her. Predeceased by her parents, Joe Lewis Joseph, Sr. and Katherine Margaret Selleh Joseph; two sisters, Norraine McNew and RoseMarie Paykin. Theresa is survived by two sisters, Marjorie Saad, Katherine (JoAnn) Kelley; two brothers, Joe L. Joseph, Jr., Daniel J. Joseph; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Theresa liked to keep active, and enjoyed volunteering at the Austin Public Library on Guadalupe for close to 20 years, as well as The St. Vincent de Paul Store on South Congress twice a week for more than 40 years, until about two weeks ago. She also attended Austin Parks and Recreations Department's McBeth Center two evenings a week for almost 40 years, and had been a faithful attendee of St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church's 11:15 am Sunday Service. Theresa enjoyed children, and cared for many nieces and nephews in the family when they were young. She was the family historian, always remembering names and events concerning her extensive family; knowing birthdays, anniversaries and other important events that had taken place. The family would like to thank the staff at Seton Hospital and Hospice Austin for their loving care while she was there, and all who cared for and supported her during her life. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Avenue. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
