Alice and family, I was so saddened to hear about Jerry's passing! I had not realized that he had been ill. He was a wonderful FBC church friend, doctor for myself and my Dad, and the dad of Anna, my Catherine's friend! We will be remembering you and your family during this time of grieving. with love, Carol and Fred Smith

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. What a loss for your family & the community! Bob & I just moved into a home here in Austin and were looking forward to seeing you all. I have the fondest memories of you all in Galveston. It was really good to see you all in Dallas for Brian's wedding. Jerry, you are already missed! Love, Anne & Bob Shepard

Reading his obituary I came to realize that Jerry embodied the best qualities of the Greatest Generation. I especially loved reading that "he believed that dedication and honesty were the secrets of a joyful life". I'm sorry I didn't get to meet Jerry but Alice and Graydon are two of the finest people I know. Blessings to your family and may the many meaningful and loving memories you share of his life make his absence less painful. Love, Mary and Rusty Tally

Jerry has a great quality about him even through his illness. Always laughing and a bit of a cut-up.
