Eldredge Robinson Obituary
E. L. "Bubbie" Robinson E.L. "Bubbie" Robinson passed away on August 5, 2013 at the age of 81. He was a native resident of Bee Cave and 1950 graduate of Dripping Springs High. He never failed to help those in need. If there was a repair to be made, Bubbie took care of it. Bubbie was a Navy veteran, serving 1950-56, where he earned ratings of Engineman and Diver, and the nickname of PeeWee. He began his mechanic career with International Harvester in Austin, Temple, and Waco, retiring in 1994 with Longhorn International. He helped preserve the first Bee Cave School building, was a Commander of VFW Post 4443, served in the Hudson Bend Volunteer Fire Department, and was a lifelong attendee of the Driftwood Reunion. Bubbie has left a true legacy of service, stewardship, hard work and compassion. A man of tremendous spirit and will, he is a beloved hero and mentor to his children, family and friends. Bubbie is survived by his son Alan Robinson and wife Lisa, daughter Joni Goodrum and husband Danny; daughter Patti Robinson and partner George Siddall; grandchildren Ross Robinson, Kathleen Robinson, Connor, Garrett, and Kendall Goodrum; great-granddaughter Carleigh Garcia; and Charlotte's children Pat, Keitha, Georgia and Danny. Bubbie was preceded in death by his wife Johnnie Marx Robinson; his parents Will and Ruby Robinson; sister Lois Marx Bunch; brother Harrell Robinson; and companion Charlotte Baxley. Pallbearers are Ross Robinson, Connor Goodrum, Garrett Goodrum, Tom Marx, Danny Breeding and Eric Garcia. Honorary pallbearers are Charles Crumley, Gerald Marx and Bo Biggs.
