Edgar A. Moore Edgar A. Moore, 90, of Lago Vista, Texas died Aug. 27, 2013 in Bemidji, MN. Memorial Services will be 10:00 am Thursday, September 5, 2013 at K-Oaks Clubhouse in Lago Vista, Texas with Rev. Rick Waters officiating. Ed was born April 24, 1923 in Deanville, Texas, the son of James L. and Elsa (Shiller) Moore. He graduated from Caldwell High School in 1940 in Texas. He worked for the Civilian Conservation Corp from 1940 -42. He served our country bravely for a quarter of a century in the U. S. Marine Corps from July 1942 to July 1968 which included overseas duty and was a veteran of World War II, the Korea Conflict and Vietnam, retiring as a Sergeant Major. He was then employed by the City of Austin, Texas, working with the Tax and Finance Departments until his retirement in 1986. In 1986, he and his wife Marge moved to Lago Vista, Texas, where he spent many hours on the Golf Course. He was active in the community, serving on the School Board, City Council and offices in the Men's Golf Association. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Wik Pearson Moore of Leonard, MN and Lago Vista, TX; stepchildren, Roger (Shirley) Frogner of Eugene, OR., Karen (Doug) Bartz of Pleasant Hill, MO., Douglas (Karen) Winch of Marietta, GA., Dean (Ann) Pearson of Palmyra, VA., Erin (Glenn) Norberg of Florence, CO., Paul (Michelle) Pearson of Canon City, CO., Eric Pearson of Grand Forks, ND., Vu (Catherine) Pearson of Surprise, AR.; 15 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to Lakeside Christian Fellowship building fund or Arnie's Army (Arnold Palmer's prostate cancer fund) or the memorial of your choice. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of over 40 years- Marge Moore and a brother Ervin and a step grandson- Lee Bartz. Condolences may be left at ceasefuneralhome.com.
