RUSSELL, Peggy Ann|
Peggy Ann Russell of Austin, Texas was called back home to Heaven on January 26, 2014.
She entered into the joy of her Lord from her home of 44 years, under the watchful care of her loving husband Fred as well as her 4 precious girls: Jamie, Jill, Jan and Joni.
Peggy was born to Ralph Hubbard and Irene Bradford on December 12, 1934 in Ft. Worth, Texas. She attended Baylor University and later graduated from Texas Christian University in 1958. Peggy loved learning and continued seeking knowledge by taking classes at both the University of Texas and St. Edwards University.
Peggy has always had a great love for the Savior and in 1951 she responded to his invitation to "Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden" when she was just 16 years of age, while attending a Billy Graham revival. She loved the hymns and was involved in singing in the Church and Civic choirs throughout her life.
She is survived by her husband Fred Russell, whom she married in her home on December 31, 1983. They stand as a witness that a love for the Lord and joyful laughter contributed to their happy lives together.
Peggy is also survived by the greatest joys of her life; her 4 girls and their husbands: Jamie & Don Lamb, Jill & Zane Winberg, Jan Lozenski & Cory Mitchell, Joni & Patrick Bedynek. Also her stepchildren: Denise & Michael Thompson and Martin & Kathy Russell and two ex-sons in law that she has continued to love and that dearly love her; Kent Lozenski and Wayne Alldredge
She will lovingly be remembered by her 10 grandchildren: David, Kristyn, Jaime, Joshua, Cheyne, Gabriel, Nicholas, Chloe, Kimberly and Dylan, all whom she loved and adored and was endeared to them as their "Gran." As well as 5 great grandchildren: Halli, Marlei, Trevor, Nathan and baby Suzanna on the way.
She will forever be heard singing in our hearts, in her beautiful harmony, her favorite hymn; "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing" as well as her favorite scripture verse found in Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths."
We entrust her into the tender, loving care of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and say last of all to her "Good-bye our most precious Mother, until we meet you again in the household of God, where we shall joyfully declare to all, that: "Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her!" God Bless You Forever Dearest Wife, Mother & Gran!"
