Beatrice lived in Breckenridge, Moran, McCamey, Gladewater, Monmouth, Oregon, Hattisburg Mississippi, Mathis, Corpus Christi, Laredo, Fort Clark Springs, Temple, Spicewood and Austin Texas.
She was proceeded in death by Her parents, James Pat Clark and Thelma Gertrude Lusby Clark, her brothers Buddy Clark of Kingsport, Tennessee, Harry Ray Clark, her husband of 57 years, Roger Daniel Workman, her daughter, Linda Karen Workman.
She attended McCamey High School until 1942. Bea had been a waitress, restaurant owner, hairdresser, Secretary of Workman Construction Corporation. She loved music, learning, doing crossword puzzles, keeping up with politics, served as Election Judge and a strong supporter of moral values and protection of personal and business rights. Bea and Roger enjoyed square dancing, bowling and the Elks Lodge in Laredo as well as lots of social activities at Fort Clark Springs where they also attended the First Baptist Church of Brackettville, Texas. She did beautiful paintings, computer searching and researching as well as designed and decorated the houses she lived in throughout her life. She obtained her GED in May of 1993. She was a member of Pedernales River Fellowship in Spicewood, Texas. She had lived at Elmcroft Senior Living and Stonebridge Health & Rehabilitation in Austin. We want to give a special thanks to the wonderful staff of each of these outstanding places.
She has two living sons, Wayne Clark Workman, his wife, Alice Jo Krauss Workman of St. Charles, Missouri and The Honorable Paul Daniel Workman, his wife, Sherry Willene Cleveland Workman of Austin. She had four grandchildren and their spouses, Andrew Lawrence Workman, wife Shannon Lori Darrow Workman of St. Louis, Missouri, Gretchen Elizabeth Marie Workman Atchison, husband William Everett Atchison of St. Charles, Missouri, Kyle Daniel Workman, wife Christen Gayle McWhorter Workman of Jewett, Texas and Paula Willene Workman White, her husband Jamon Jeffrey White of Austin.
Bea was blessed to have eleven great-grandchildren, Taylor Atchison, Noah Atchison, Jackson Atchison of St. Charles, Missouri, Evan Workman and Aiden Workman of St. Louis, Missouri, Kendal Workman, Kyle Daniel Workman Jr., Clay Workman, Cade Workman of Jewett, Texas, Mary White and Jadon White of Austin, Texas.
Interment will be at Memory Gardens, 8200 Old Brownsville Road in Corpus Christi, Texas on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. with Steve Hagens officiating.
