I've had the opportunity to read one of your statistics books. It would have been an honor to have met you Sally! From what I've read you were an excellent educator. Thank you

I just saw this in the Texas State Hill views! So sad to hear. My husband (who I had yet to meet at the time) and I took her Intro to Sociology class in fall 2002. I adored the class and especially adored Dr Caldwell! That class inspired me to switch my major. I took 2 more classes from Dr. Caldwell before graduating with my BA in Sociology in 2005. She's a professor I will never forget.

What a dedicated, passionate, and challeging professor. Pushed academic thoughts beyond the norm. Though our views differed at times, I highly respected her in many ways. May you rest in peace. My sincerest condelences and sympathies to her, family, and friends. God bless....

Just want you to know you're in my heart, Sally - I enjoyed our chats, our visits over lunch or dinner, and your wonderful book (Romantic Deception). I know you're in the highest and best place there is, at this very moment, and you're still fighting for what's right, good and honest.

Just heard the news and am heartbroken. Dr. Caldwell was one of the most ALIVE people I have ever met--if you know what I mean. Her energy, passion and sense of humor transformed a subject I expected to hate into one of my favorite classes. I wish I could have known her better.

If all of my professors at college could have been represented by a different item in my pencil bag, Sally Caldwell would have been my highlighter—bright, distinct, and unsubstituted. And she still is my highlighter to this day.

I admired Dr. Caldwell not only as a teacher, but as a mentor. I interned for her in my senior year (2010) and though we greatly differed in our political views, we still shared much in common. I'll miss you, Dr. Caldwell. I believe you're in a better place now. Godspeed...
