Austin Stewart Ellis, 80, passed away Tuesday, Mar 11, 2014 in Austin, TX. He was born in San Antonio TX on Apr 5, 1933 and lived in the Austin and Cedar Park TX area 45 years. Austin was a graduate of Adams High School, Alice TX in 1952 and The University of Texas in 1957. He was a jeweler for many years and retired in 2006.
On Oct 20, 1991 Austin was given the gift of life when he received a heart transplant. The entire family is so thankful for that gift and the additional 23 years we were allowed to have with him.
Austin was preceded in death by his parents Austin Ross Ellis Jr. and Robbie Stewart Ellis Bingaman, also his twin sister Augusta Ellis and his infant son Ross Stewart Ellis.
Above all, Austin was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara Schneider Ellis, Cedar Park TX and his daughters Michelle Ellis, Austin TX and Melissa Engman and son-in-law Keith Engman, Liberty Hill TX, and his stepson and wife Mark and Paula Sullivan, Dallas TX, and his grandchildren Amanda Engman, Cedar Park TX, Matthew Engman, Leander TX, Brad Sullivan, Lewisville TX and Scott Sullivan, Richardson TX, and his sisters and husbands Richard and Pola Stone, Corpus Christi TX and Buddy and Lucille Martens, Kerrville TX, and his many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held at St Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Cedar Park, TX on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 10:30 A.M.
