Joshua "Johnny B" Brown was born November 7, 1924 in Cuero, Texas to Sadie Franklin Brown and Moses E. Brown.
Mr. Brown served in the United States Navy receiving an honorable discharge.
Mr. Brown united in Holy Matrimony with Maudie Noble Brown on April 16, 1950 and to this union nine children were born. She preceded him in death. On January 24, 2003 he united with Wanda Carter.
Mr. Brown was a member of DelValle Sub District Association, Montopolis Lodge #339, U.M.W. Scottish Rite Grand Lodge. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Wanda Brown; three daughters, Lillian Spencer (Jeffery) of Killeen, Texas, Carolyn Hernandez (Juan) of Austin, and Phyllis Walker (Donald Ray) of Austin; four sons, Freddie Brown (Jacqueline) of Austin, Rodrick Brown of Austin, Larry Brown, Sr. (Willie) of Jasper, George Brown of Austin; twenty-eight grandchildren; thirty-eight great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two brothers Isaac Brown and David Brown (Linda), both of Austin; four sisters Clementine Revada, Bertha Brown, Mary Nobles, and Viola Wilson, all of Austin; special daughters Phyllis Brown, Vica Simmons and Nyesha Caeter; other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be today 1:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at King-Tears Mortuary. Services Saturday, April 12th, 11:00 a.m. at Grant A.M.E. Worship Center, 1701 Kramer Lane 78759 under the auspices of True Light Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will be in Cook-Walden Memorial Hill Cemetery. Services entrusted to Barry J.W.
