Jack Roe Sandefur Jack Roe Sandefur, age 91, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 surrounded by loving family. Jack was born in Vernon, Texas on March 25, 1916 to Leroy Pendleton and Eula Maud Sandefur. He proudly served his country in WWII at Pearl Harbor in the Sea Bees of the Navy. Jack married Mabel Lewis on May 25, 1935 in Austin, Texas. He worked for the City of Austin in the water and waste water department until his retirement. Jack enjoyed gardening, fishing, and hunting and passed his passion on to his three sons. He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Mabel in 1982. Jack is survived by his sons, George and wife Charlie Mae, Jack Randel and wife Dean, Lanny and wife Candy; grandchildren Lori Wallace, Georgia Lowery, Keith Sandefur, Jeff Sandefur, Charley Sandefur, Danial Sandefur and Krissy Sandefur; ten great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jack is also survived by his loving friend of fourteen years, Virginia Kyser, who blessed his life with her loving care and companionship. They attended Onion Creek Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, August 11, 2007 at Wilke-Clay- Fish Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Sunday, August 12, 2007 at Wilke- Clay-Fish Funeral Home with Reverend Ted Bosworth officiating. Burial will follow at Austin Memorial Park.
