Darrell hired me in 1979. He was a mentor to me. He was wise, caring and stood up for what he believed in. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. He left a legacy in Salem Oregon. He was a master horticulturist and is responsible for for much of what we see today in Salem Parks. I miss him very much.
