Cameron, Patty Jean Lloyd Webster  
Patty Jean Lloyd Webster Cameron February 7, 1937 - August 18, 2016 Salem - Patty married Robert Webster. They shared two children together, Dean A. and Tracy L. (Britt). They divorced in 1980. She met and married Robert Cameron in 1981 and she accepted Bob's four sons Wayne, Glenn, Roger and Brett. Patty worked at Agri-Pac Cannery and Cummings Distributors. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Club as well as the 40/8 member. Patty enjoyed going to the coast and stopping at the casinos. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Robert Cameron; daughter, Tracy; step-sons: Wayne, Glen, and Roger and daughter-in-law Kris; grandchildren: Bryanna, Yvonne, Andy, Melissa and Bobby; Great-Grandchildren: Zayvian, Alivia, Amari, Drew, Zion, Pharoah, and Issa. She was preceded in death by her son, Dean; step-son, Brett; and granddaughter, Misty. Services will be at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, August 25th at City View Funeral Home. Interment will be in the American Legion Circle in City View Cemetery. There will be a Celebration of Life gathering following the service at the family home.

Chrisman, Ross  
Ross Chrisman July 5, 1930 - July 25, 2016 Eugene - Ross Chrisman, lifelong resident of the Willamette Valley, died July 25, 2016 surrounded by family following a 6 year struggle with devastating injuries suffered in a fall. Ross was born at home in Kingston Oregon just outside Stayton, to Ross Chrisman Sr. and Ruth Morgan Chrisman, and raised in the Salem area along with his two younger sisters Ruth and Jean. Ross attended Rickey School and graduated with Salem High School's class of 1949 along with his high school sweetheart Rosemary Bronson. They married on Nov 10, 1949. Ross joined the Marines in early 1950 and served in Korea, earning a medal for expert marksmanship and served as a truck driver along the treacherous dirt roads of the countryside. After returning from war, Ross and Rosemary added Susan, Connie, Gary, and Judith to their family. They raised their family on a farm outside Salem, where in addition to his job as a millwright and steel fabricator, he raised Hereford cattle and sheep. Ross was proud of being a 4th generation native Oregonian. He was hard-working, devoted to and proud of his family. When his wife became disabled in later years, he became her caregiver while continuing work in his metal shop and hunting or fishing whenever possible. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and took them on many fishing trips. Ross was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Rosemary. He is survived by daughter, Susan, and son-in-law, Michael Heard of Mollala; daughter, Connie, and son-in-law, Michael Burns of Junction City; son, Gary, and daughter-in-law, Kelli Chrisman of Turner; daughter, Judy, and son-in-law, William Severson of Stanwood, WA; grandchildren: Chris Heard, Melinda Ross, Daniel Wiltse, Evan Burns, Kenneth Burns, and Hogan Chrisman; great-grandchildren: Mason Lauer, Madison Eley, Brayden, Dylan, and Celina Heard, Kyler and Averly Burns; his sisters, Ruth Odom and Jean Patterson; his aunt, Gladys Porter; sister-in-law, Marlene Bronson; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. A graveside Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, August 28th at 11:00 AM at Wisner Cemetery, Kingston-Jordan Rd, Stayton.

Cushing, Phyllis Nygaard  
Phyllis Nygaard Cushing January 4, 1928 - August 22, 2016 Phyllis Cushing of Salem passed away Monday, August 22. She was surrounded by her many family members and close friends. Phyllis was born and raised in Astoria, Oregon and graduated from Astoria High School in 1946. She attended Pacific Lutheran College in Tacoma, Washington for two years and then attended Emanuel Hospital School of Nursing from 1948 through 1951. After graduating in 1951 Phyllis worked at Seattle 's Virginia Mason Hospital from 1951 to 1953. She moved to Salem and worked at Salem Hospital from 1953 to 1955. Phyllis met her husband, Jack, on Memorial Day Weekend. They married on January 7, 1956. Phyllis was active in the community of Salem as a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, the Sons of Norway, and the Salem Assistance League. She started the Table of Plenty food bank at the church and was an active board member of the PEO in Salem. Phyllis was an avid gardener and the member of many bridge clubs. She was a lifelong reader who participated in several book clubs. Survivors include her son, John Cushing and his wife, Kayleen; her daughter, Julie Cushing, and her lifetime partner, Michelann, of Portland; and her sister, Evelyn McConnell of Fresno, California. She had many nephews and nieces, whom she dearly loved. Her brother, Orville Nygaard, and sister, Muriel Brown, preceded her in death. Services will be held at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Salem, August 31st, 11:00am. A reception at the church will follow the service. Internment will be at Willamette National Cemetery, September 1st, 12pm, in Portland where she will rest next to her husband. Arrangements are by Howell-Edwards-Doerksen Funeral Directors.
