Feck, Virginia Frances
Virginia Frances Feck May 13, 1935 - March 28, 2015 Virginia Frances Feck, of Jefferson, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2015. She was born in Beacon, NY on May 13, 1935. She possessed a unique way of looking at the world. Her philosophy was simple: enjoy and celebrate life, push to become the best within yourself, and focus on what really matters. She did just that. In 1956, job opportunities brought her to Portland, Oregon where she later met the love of her life, John William Feck, Jr. They married on October 18, 1957 and raised their four children in a white house under the oak trees next to the railroad tracks. Their family home for the next 54 years. Throughout her life, Virginia enjoyed camping, water skiing, sewing, cooking, reading, gardening, fishing, family get-togethers, and especially dancing with her beloved husband. Her incredible drive and her positive perspective provided the foundation on which she built her life and would become the legacy she left behind. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Helen Kennedy-Graham; her brother Artie Graham; and her sister Ione Correia. She had a strong faith in God and appreciated the many blessings she received from Him throughout her life. She liked to say "it's so simple - just believe in Jesus". She looked forward to beginning her eternal life in Heaven with her Creator. She is survived by her husband, John; their son Ralph and wife Debby; daughter Suzanne and husband Doug; daughter Linda and husband Keith; son Edmund and wife Ingrid; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; her brother John Michael Graham and wife Rosalie; and her sister Rosemary Shirley and husband Bill. The family is planning a Celebration of Life on Saturday, April 4th, at noon at the Fellowship Hall of the St. Thomas Catholic Church, 647 N 3rd Street, Jefferson.
