Anne Marie Winter-Walker

July 23, 1933 - July 25, 2013

SALEM - Anne Marie Winter - Walker, 80, of Salem, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, July 25, 2013.

She was born in Danube, Alberta, Canada to Louis and Theresa Klein.

She married Al Winter on July 25, 1952 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

After living in Alberta Canada and Anchorage Alaska Al and Anne moved their family to Salem, Oregon in 1959.

Anne began a career as a retail clerk at Sav-On Drugs in 1965. She worked at Sav-On for two years before going to work at Mayfair Markets from 1967 to 1983. In 1983 she began working at Roth's IGA. She worked at Roth's for 18 years performing a number of different jobs. During her career in the grocery business she made many long time friendships with customers.

Anne enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her six Grandchildren and four Great Grandchildren. She loved shopping and playing cards. Black Jack and games of 31 with her family were her favorite.

Anne liked sports especially baseball and watching golf on television. She enjoyed trips to the Oregon coast and winning at the casinos.

Survivors include her two son's Gregg and Keith along with her daughter Donalee and their families. She leaves five sisters and one brother.

As per Anne's wishes there will be no funeral service.
