Debbi Evans


April 5, 1951 - February 24, 2014

Monmouth - Debbi Evans passed away on Monday February 24, 2014 after a seven month struggle with cancer. She was an energetic, people-oriented person with diverse interests usually involving groups of friends such as Quilting Group, Reading Group, sewing, baking, gardening, and her greatest love was helping to raise her granddaughter.

Born in Pennsylvania, Debbi earned degrees from Philadelphia College of Textiles and Chestnut Hill College. She was a Guidance Counselor at the Lyle School for many years, before which she counseled at the Rural School, the Charter School and in private practice.

She is survived by her husband of many years, Thomas Evans as well as three sons; Danny, his wife Jessica their child Lillian Johanna, Derek, and Colin. Also surviving Debbi are her parents, Leon and Lillian Winitsky, and brother Michael Winitsky.

A memorial service will be held at the Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center on Thursday, February 27th from 4-7 pm. Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center is caring for the family. Online condolences may be left at
