Donald Harvey Plummer

July 13, 1927 - November 10, 2012

MESA, AZ - Donald Harvey Plummer was born July 13, 1927 in Lead, SD and passed away November 10th, 2012 in Mesa, AZ, aged 85.

Don lived a rich and active life. He travelled the world and enjoyed many outdoor activities like sailing, tennis and hiking.

Don enlisted in the Army Air Corps near the end of WWII and served thru the end of the war in Alaska. In the Korean War, Don enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was in-theater during the war.

After moving to Oregon as a teenager, and his stints in the military, Don enrolled at OCE, and after earning a master's degree, spent 35 years in the Salem Public Schools, primarily as an Elementary School Principal.

Don is survived by his wife, Rose, with whom he just celebrated a 50 year anniversary November 2nd; his children, Dan, Steve, John, and Jennifer, nine grandchildren and two sisters, Shirley and Phyllis. Another son, Scott, predeceased Don. Donations in Don's name may be made to Doctors Without Borders.
