Earl Louis Malm

January 15, 1923 - February 5, 2013

Earl, a native of Salem, OR, was born and raised on the corner of Lancaster and Silverton Roads. Married Frances Hope Kring in 1944 in Portland OR and was deployed for military service the day after the wedding. Earl and Frances met at Salem (North) High school.

Earl was a type writer repairman, then became a Navyman between the years of 1941 - 1945, followed by three years of active reserve duty. He had his own gas station (7 years) on the same corner he was born and raised on, the very location he used to later develop the Earl Malm Trailer Sales business (45 years).

He enjoyed riding motorcycles, pheasant hunting and steelhead and salmon fishing with a guide once a week.

He was an old timer Elks Lodge member and part of the 336ers RV Club.

Earl and Frances have five children, including two sons and three daughters; Gary Malm (Linda) of Salem; Jan Leek (Richard) of Aloha; Lenn Malm (Maureen) of Salem; Lucinda Woods (Scott) of Salem; and Becki Grimmett of Salem. The couple also has 13 Grandkids and 13 Great grandkids.

A Celebration of Life for all family and friends will take place Sunday, March 10, 2013, 1:00pm, at 4170 Silverton Rd in Salem.
