Kenneth Francis Kanewske

November 14,1916 - August 8, 2014

Ken was born in San Francisco, the third of five sons of John E and Frances T Kanewske. He passed away in Salem, Oregon, his home for 24 years. Ken served in the U S Merchant Marines during WWII; managed 3 of the Kanewske family bakeries in the SF Bay Area until permanently joining Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company. He retired in 1981 and spent many happy years touring North America by motorhome with his wife Antoinette. He also enjoyed foreign travel to European countries and China during his retirement years. Ken was a member of the Salem Elks Lodge No. 336.

Ken is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Antoinette, and will be greatly missed by family members including son Paul, stepdaughter Donna, stepson Bryan; granddaughters Desiree, Brenna, Madeline, Kelsey, Emily; and his great-grandchildren. Private memorial will be held by family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ken's memory to a are appreciated.
