Robert (Bob) E. Crenshaw
January 23, 1946 - June 15, 2014
Robert (Bob) Crenshaw, 68, of Keizer passed away at home June 15, 2014. Survivors include his devoted wife of 49 years, Mary (Howard) Crenshaw, children, Lynda (Jay) Parmele, Kim (Doug) Nusser, Bobbi (Connie) Crenshaw-Moore, Michael (Hollie) Crenshaw and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and foster children. He cherished his family, the laughter shared and the abundance of love that shined as they remained by his side.
Bob was born in Klamath Falls, Oregon on January 23, 1946 to James and Clara (Furber) Crenshaw. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother James Crenshaw and sister Linda Crenshaw. He attended Lebanon Union High School, was a member of the Lebanon National Guard and proudly joined the U.S. Army
. He was a Vietnam Veteran and honorably earned a Purple Heart
Those who had the pleasure of knowing Bob knew how proud he was of his children and grandchildren. He relished in the company of his many friends and neighbors and adored his dog Bella. He had a zest for life, helping others, collecting shoes and enjoying food (particularly black licorice). He was a true warrior, respected by many and never to be forgotten.
A special thanks to Alison Reid who tenderly cared for her grandfather, which conveyed peace to the family.
A graveside service will be held Saturday June 21st at 1 p.m. at the Fairview Cemetery in Gates. A celebration of life will follow at the Gates Community Church of Christ.
