February 21, 1928 - December 21, 2012

SALEM - Rose Marie Arndt (O'Keefe) passed away Friday, December 21, 2012 peacefully with her loving family around her. She was born February 21, 1928, in Wadena, MN to Thomas and Betty O'Keefe.

A true Matriarch, a loving mother of 7 Children, A loving Grandmother of 13 Children and a loving Great Grandmother of 13 Children.

Rose Arndt was proceeded in death by her husband, Clarence Arndt; her son, Donald Arndt; her sister, Betty Gullickson; her brother, Robert O'Keefe; her sister, Mary Anne Hansberry; and her sister, Janet Wilder.

Rose Arndt is survived by her loving children, Barbra Braucht; Robert Arndt; David Arndt; Mary Zarate; Joseph Arndt; and John Arndt.

Rose Arndt is survived by her pet, Sir Golden Wealth, "GOLDIE" who remained a true friend and provided an everlasting amount of love.

Rose Arndt met her husband Clarence Arndt in 1945 and they moved to Salem, Oregon in 1952 to make Salem their permanent residence to raise their loving family. Rose was an entrepreneur with a passion for the culinary arts, Rose served for two decades as President of the SWBA, Rose also served on many Boards throughout Salem as Director and as President.

Rose had a love for a game of "Texas Hold'em" or a night out with her friends and family to play Bingo. Rose was active even in her later years hosting and attending one of Salem's longest running Bunko Groups, truly enjoying life!

Rose was a true philanthropists, redefining the word "Charity" making sure no one ever went without, her dining table always had a chair available for anyone who wanted to stop by and enjoy her culinary talents.

Public viewing will be held Saturday, December 29, from 2-5pm at Howell Edwards Doerksen with Rigdon-Ransom Funeral Home. Please celebrate the life of Rose Marie Arndt with her family and friends on Sunday December 30, at 11am at Howell Edwards.
