Wilbur K. Jory
November 6, 1913 - February 17, 2013
SALEM - Perhaps the oldest living male Jory in the Willamette Valley has left us. The Jorys were a sturdy family of settlers in Salem and were the namesakes of multiple landmarks.
Wilbur was born in Salem to Earl and Mary France Jory in 1913. He served in the US Army during World War Two. His succesful accounting practice allowed him to enjoy hunting, fishing, and camping in the Northwest.
He is survived by his loving wife Loyal of 71 years and his nieces Joan Teplow, Jean Texera and nephews John Jory and Mike Baer.
Donations may be made to Willamette Valley Hospice.
A memorial will be held at 2pm Friday February 22nd in the Chapel at Lancaster Village 4138 Market St NE, Salem, OR 97301. Arrangements are by Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service.
