Geri, I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I just happened on it logging on to Patrick's facebook page. I hadn't gone there in several months but did so last night. God must have sent me there to find out about it. Patrick had posted a wonderful picture of his Dad. You are in my prayers. We didn't get together as often as we should but your family is always in my thought. Love your cousin Diane

Jeri and family, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss just last night. I was so fortunate to have been able to attend a number of plays Bob directed and played in over the years and was blessed to enjoy the fruits of his talents. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Bob was a dear friend to me when I started U of Portland at 17. we lived together a summer a couple of years later, did a lot of theater together, listened to much music (we loved the "folk music" -- Belafonte, etc.). he was my big brother for about three years; I being about10 years younger. his favorite dish was hot dogs and lima beans, which we ate a lot, and
drank a bit of wine as well. I'm still directing plays as he did. we met only once late on, but every moment is eternal, and Bob is with me ever.

I'm saddened to learn about Bob's passing. I didn't know Bob well, but enjoyed his company during the few times we met. My condolences to Geri and family.

This is very beautiful, Mom. Thank you for writing something that reads not only as an obituary, but also like a tribute.

How do I say thank you to my mentor for showing me the way to directing. Probably the most important lesson that I learned from Bob was the fact that I had so much more to learn. When one thinks they have all the answers, then it's time to stop. Thank you both to Geri and Bob for the gift of learning. Love you both. Thinking of you all....Faye, Greg and Kristy Trupka.

Bob and Geri have been more than just in-laws, but more like a real mother and father to me.
Love you, Dad. Hope to see you on the other side one day.

Please accept my condolences. I enjoyed having an office on the same wing of Rice Auditorium with Bob in 1996-97. He was a lively and engaging colleague and I will remember his ready smile.
