Love you, Daddy.

Thank you for all the stories, stars, and songs.

Thank you for showing me how to study the scriptures, how to speak and prepare sermons and for baptizing me at age five, but most of all, for telling me about Jesus.

Thank you for taking me on so many mission trips as a child. Thank you for rocking me to sleep with hymns, keeping me safe, and for such a happy, glorious, childhood, rich with so many wonderful memories.

Long ago, you held me, a sleepy, small child, over your shoulder in the shadows, walking the floor with me, and I will never forget you singing softly:

"This is my story, this is my song, praising my Savior, all the day long....this is my story, this is my song, praising my Savior...all the day long."

Love you, Daddy: I will see you again.

in glory, at last with Jesus, Rinda

Mel, you are one of the most spiritual, humble, inspiring men I have ever met. I am privileged to have known you. Your manner and outlook have inspired me throughout much of my life. I am sure you also touched everyone else you encountered here similarly. Thank-you and safe travels!
