Andrew Jackson "Jack" Brown
November 30, 1920 - February 15, 2013
"Jack" was named for his grandfather, a Civil War drummer boy. Son of Vivian and T. Leland Brown, Jack was born in Roseburg and raised in The Dalles, Oregon. He was a retired captain in the US Army. He is survived by his wife, Joy and his 3 children; Larry of Anchorage, Alaska, Judy Johnston of Union, Oregon and Becky Bishop of Austin, Texas and Joy's 2 children; Leslie Parpart of Salem and Bill Leppin of Maple Valley, Washington. Jack was blessed with 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
At his request, there will be no service or flowers. Jack will be laid to rest at Willamette National Cemetery with military honors later this spring.
