Annella Marie (Bauman) Jenck April 17, 1928 - March 18, 2009 HILLSBORO - Annella was born on April 17, 1928 in Mt. Angel, Ore. She was the youngest of 5 children born to John and Cunnigunda Bauman. She grew up in Mt. Angel and received a teaching certificate and became an elementary school teacher. She married Ed Jenck and they made there home in Portland, where their four children were born. Annella and her family moved to Mt. Angel in 1963. She was actively involved in her church and community. Annella loved sharing prayer, singing, dancing and her love for flowers with her children and her friends. She was a generous hostess and an incredible baker. She was a life long teacher and a blessing to many people. Annella was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Jenck. Survivors include her sister, MaryJeanne Berns, Bend; her children, Marie Stern, Portland, Jean Jenck-Mlynski, Hillsboro, Anne Kunkle, Olympia, and Marty Shelton-Jenck, Bainbridge Island; and her nine grandchildren. The viewing will be all day Friday, March 20 at Unger Funeral Chapel in Mt. Angel, with the family being present from 3 - 5 p.m. The funeral Mass will be at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Hillsboro at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 21. Prior to the funeral the rosary will be prayed at 10:30 a.m. A service at the graveside will take place at 3 p.m. at Calvary Cemetery in Mt. Angel. Arrangements by Unger Funeral Chapel.
